| How can we be saved and be in the eternal life? |
we always can find one way to salvation and get the eternal life.
Listen to what Lord Jesus said.
We are all very familiar with the story of young rich man. " Master, what good thing have I
to do, so that I may have eternal life?" (Matthew 19:16),
The answer was: "If you enter eternal life, when compliance with the commandments."
(Matthew 19:17)
This young rich man then asked the question: "What commandments?"
(Matthew 19:18) And Jesus said, Do not put anyone to death, Do not be untrue in
married life, Do not take what is not yours, Do not give false witness,
(19:19) Give honour to your father and your mother: and, Have love for your neighbour
as for yourself.
(19:20) The young man says to him, All these things have I done: what more is there?
(19:21) Jesus said to him, If you have a desire to be complete, go, get money for your
property, and give it to the poor, and you will have wealth in heaven: and come after me.
(19:22) But hearing these words the young man went away sorrowing: for he had much
property.
How can we get eternal life?
This young man asked " Master, what good thing have I to do, so that I may have eternal
life?" Lord Jesus said:"If you enter eternal life, when compliance with the commandments."
Many churches say, "This is the salvation through good works! People being saved does
not depend on compliance with the commandments!" , but it is true Lord Jesus said
different things.
Although we can not deny what Lord Jesus said, we can pay no attention to his words.
We all have read these words many times. We try to explain these words by dozens of our
meanings to replace the concept of the original words.
Once we have difficulty to explain those words, we will say: "Although he said these, he
does not mean that."
However, Lord Jesus really did said "If you enter eternal life,when compliance with the
commandments. "
Well, let us have a second thought, this is not the what Lord Jesus means.
Let us see another story.
(Luke 10:25) And a certain teacher of the law got up and put him to the test, saying,
Master, what have I to do so that I may have eternal life?
10:26 And he said to him, What does the law say, in your reading of it?
10:27 And he, answering, said, Have love for the Lord your God with all your heart and
with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and for your neighbour
as for yourself.
10:28 And he said, You have given the right answer: do this and you will have life.
Whether you have spiritual life, you first must abide by the commandments. Then you can
enter the eternal life. Load Jesus gave the same answer to that young rich man and the
teacher. This answer is what Lord Jesus said, regardless of what the church said
differently.
We should directly listen to what Lord Jesus said, not to other who claim as super spiritual
ability,disciple...
By doing these, we will be real disciples belong to Lord Jesus.
